I spent the day in Hartford meeting Democratic and Republican Representatives in the Connecticut Assembly. It was an extraordinary day. The Senate, in an historic move, voted unanimously to approve Richard A. Robinson as the first African-American Chief Justice of the Connecticut Supreme Court. I was introduced to the House of Representatives by Tom O’ Dea, my competitor in the race to represent the 125th District. We got a standing ovation.
